NO FRILLS FUNDRAISER
IT'S BACK! This year's No Frills Fundraiser will support field trip transportation and our sustainability initiatives. Help us skip the candy bars and wrapping paper sales - donate directly to our school and our students.
No Frills will run through November BUT the grade with the most participation through October 31 will get to choose this year's yearbook cover. More details available here. To donate, click the button below! |
During the school year, Discovery students donate over 2,800 pounds of food to AFAC (Arlington Food Assistance Program) through the Discovery Food Bus Program.
Volunteers (parents and kids!) are needed to take the donations to AFAC at the end of the week. You may pick up donations anytime between 2-4 PM.

Donate Your Stretchy Plastic!
Bring us your (clean) stretchy plastic/plastic film and help Explorers win a bench for our campus!
Our goal is to collect 1,000 pounds of plastic film to be recycled and repurposed into Trex’s composite decking material. If we log 1,000 pounds collected before March 2, 2026, we will win a bench for our campus! More details can be found here.

Nominate a teacher or staff member for APS All Stars!
APS is highlighting five outstanding staff members each month to recognize the many ways staff make a difference in our community and to highlight their great work.
These individuals demonstrate excellence in collaboration, equity, inclusivity, integrity, innovation and stewardship. They are the members of the community who are the first to pitch in, who bring a positive attitude to their work, and go above and beyond to support their colleagues, and to serve students and families.
They also embrace the mission and vision of APS to ensure all students learn and thrive in safe, healthy and supportive learning environments.
All employees are eligible for nomination. These are employees who make a difference and contribute to creating an inclusive, supportive learning community that empowers all students, no matter their role or position.
