We will be joined by our guest speaker, Ivan Lopez, from the Office of School Climate and Culture (OSC&C) in APS, as he discusses “The Power of a Positive School Climate”.

We hope you can join us for this informative presentation!

Bio: Ivan Lopez serves as the Student Climate Coordinator in the Office of School Climate & Culture. Born in El Salvador and raised in Arlington, VA, Mr. Lopez is a home-grown educator that has been with APS for 13 years. Mr. Lopez began his career in APS in 2012 as a counseling intern at Wakefield High School. Between 2012 and 2023, he was a school counselor at Cardinal Elementary School, Yorktown High School, and Wakefield High School. In his current role as Student Climate Coordinator in the Office of School Climate & Culture (OSCC), Ivan supports elementary school administrators with student behavior/discipline, serious incident reporting, and implementation of the APS Student Code of Conduct.
