What is a Bike & Walk Bus? 🚶‍♀️🚲

A Bike Bus is a group of kids biking to school with a volunteer “driver” leading the way, while a Walk Bus is a group of kids walking to school with a volunteer “conductor” guiding the group. It's just like a regular school bus, but on foot or by bike! 🚌💨

Why Should We Participate? 🌟

• Healthy Kids, Happy Families: Walking and biking to school helps kids stay active and healthy! 💪👟

• Environmental Impact: Fewer cars means less traffic, less pollution, and a cleaner environment. 🌍

• Community Connection: It’s a great way to meet other families, build relationships, and have fun together! 🤝

• Independence & Safety: Students learn important safety skills while getting to school independently. 🛑🚦

How Can You Get Involved? 🤗

We need parent volunteers to help create safe and reliable Bike & Walk Bus routes in our neighborhood. Whether you want to lead a group or just help out, we’d love your support! Here’s how you can pitch in:

1. Volunteer to Lead a Bus 🚶‍♂️🚲

   • Help guide a group of kids walking or biking to school.

   • Be a visible and supportive presence to ensure safety along the route.

2. Volunteer as a “Bus Stop” Host 🏠

   • Offer your house or a designated stop as a pick-up or drop-off point.

3. Help Map Out Routes 🗺️

   • Work with other parents to design safe and efficient routes for the Bike & Walk Buses.
