Join us for Discovery's Annual PumpkinFest. We will kick off the event with a Halloween costume parade and walk at 11:30 am. The rest of the activities will be open from 12 pm to 3 pm.




Calling all VOLUNTEERS! We needs lots of help making PumpkinFest run smoothly. There are many ooportunities for helping that accommodate lots of schedules. Sell tickets before or after school on Friday, bake some cakes for the cake walk, come to PumpkinFest with family and spend one hour helping run one of our exciting games! Have time on Saturday? Great, because we need lots of help setting up. Busy during PumpkinFest but have time after on Sunday? We need your help cleaning up! Did we mention that this year's PumpkinFest will have a cake walk? How about baking a cake that will be awarded as a prize? Follow this link to a comprehensive SignUp Genius and get you VOLUNTEER ON! Wristbands & Tickets     

This year we are introducing the wristband as a ticket option. Beginning on Monday, October 16th you will be able to order a wristband online for $15 or $10 for children under 5. The wristbands will be available for pick up before or after school on Friday, October 20th and at PumpkinFest Sunday, October 22nd.  These wristbands will give you unlimited access to all of the games and moonbounces for the entire day.  If you order a wristband(s) online before Friday, October 20th, you will receive three(3) free individual tickets that will be good for raffle entries. Wristbands and individual tickets ( $0.50 each) will be available for purchase at PumpkinFest. However, we highly encourage you to avoid the lines and pre-order. To volunteer to sell wristbands and tickets, please click here.




Costume Parade and Contest

All costume parade participants are to gather on the terrace outside of the dining commons starting at 11 am. THE PARADE WILL BEGIN PROMPTLY AT 11:30. The parade route is around the Discovery field and will be lead by the Yorktown High School Marching Band. The parade route is ADA compliant. The contest will follow the parade where our teacher judges will award their favorite costumes. Note: You must be in the parade to be eligible for the contest. Pumpkin Carving Contest

Bring your PRE-CARVED pumpkin to Discovery on Sunday, October 22nd between 9 am and 11 am. This year the pumpkins will be judged in the following categories: SCARIEST, CUTEST, BEST SCHOOL SPIRIT AND MOST AMAZING. Students will vote on their favorites between 12 pm and 2 pm. Prizes to be awarded at 2:30 pm.
