We will be holding an ice cream social for all Explorers and their families on Friday, September 17 from 6:30-8 pm. Join us on the Discovery veranda for ice cream treats while you catch up with old friends and meet new ones! 

Several Covid mitigation measures will be in place to help keep everyone safe while we socialize. Masks are required when not eating and drinking. We will have two ice cream trucks stationed at opposite ends of the space to reduce crowding. We will also have chalk dots on the ground for spacing while you wait, and we are encouraging full use of the campus (both playgrounds, veranda, etc.) so everyone can spread out. We will also set out hand sanitizer. 

Please note: the building will be closed, so there will be no bathroom access. 

Still need a grade-level t-shirt? Orders must be placed by tomorrow, September 10 if you want to have them in time for Spirit Day on September 24, so don’t delay! You can order online; pick up instructions will be emailed to you when your order is confirmed. 

Shirts are $10 and are available for Pre-K through 5th grade.

We have LOTS of new Discovery merchandise this year! From running shorts and tie-dye shirts to fleece sweatshirts and picnic blankets, there are lots of ways to show your Explorer pride!

We have moved to a new merchandise ordering system. It will follow the Scholastic book order model: you will have a window of time to place an order; when the window closes, items will be shipped and then distributed to your student at school. There will be multiple opportunities to order throughout the school year. 

The first order window is open until October 4.

National PTA's Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts. Students in Pre-K through Grade 12 can create and submit original works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts.This year's student-selected theme is I Will Change the World By....

The PTA needs your help! We have several volunteer jobs open, with more to come as the year progresses. Volunteering with the PTA is fun, easy, and a great way to get to know other parents. And we can't host fun events and programs without your help. Check out our website for more information on open positions and email president@discoverypta.org with questions.
