Registration for After-School Enrichment Opens Tomorrow!

Baroody after-school enrichment registration opens Friday, September 3 at 9 am. LEGO, basketball, Spanish, robotics, even slime...there’s something for everyone! To see the full list of offerings, click here. Registration will close on Sunday, September 26.

Ice Cream Social: Friday, 9/17 at 6:30 pm

We will be holding an ice cream social for all Explorers and their families on Friday, September 17 at 6:30-8 pm. Join us on the Discovery veranda for ice cream treats while you catch up with old friends and meet new ones!

Please note: the building will be closed, so there will be no bathroom access. Masks are required when not eating or drinking.

Grade Level T-shirts Available

If you missed us at the Open House and want a grade-level shirt, please email your student’s grade level and size to gradelevelshirts@discoverypta.org. Orders can be placed until Friday, September 10 and will be available for pickup the week of September 13. Pick up instructions will be emailed to you when your order is confirmed.

Shirts are $10 and are available for Pre-K through 5th grade.

Online Ordering for Discovery Merchandise!

For anything other than grade-level shirts, you can order directly online! We have moved to a new merchandise ordering system. It will follow the Scholastic book order model: you will have a window of time to place an order; when the window closes, items will be shipped and then distributed to your student at school. There will be multiple opportunities to order throughout the school year.

The first order window is open until October 4. We have LOTS of new items this year! Check them out.

Reflections â€œI Will Change the World Byâ€¦â€

For over 50 years, National PTA's Reflections program has provided opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life. Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme.

Students submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts. Top winners from the local level have the opportunity to advance to the council, state and national level. The student-selected theme for the 2021-2022 program year is I Will Change the World By....

Volunteer with us!

The PTA needs your help! We have several volunteer jobs open, with more to come as the year progresses. Volunteering with the PTA is fun, easy, and a great way to get to know other parents. And we can't host fun events and programs without your help. Check out our website for more information on open positions and email president@discoverypta.org with questions.

Girls On The Run!

Registration for the Girls On The Run program for Discovery Elementary is open! We have two teams running this fall and girls in grades 3-5 are eligible.

AM Team: Tuesdays/Thursdays, 7:45 AM - 9:00 AM.

PM Team: Tuesdays/Thursdays, 3:45 PM - 4:45 PM.
