Rising K Play Dates
Attention all rising Discovery Elementary kindergartners!
For an opportunity to socialize and get to know some classmates before school starts in September, please join us for a play date!
All rising K’s and families welcome to attend. Please share with neighbors that have students starting at Discovery in September.
Play dates scheduled:
- Tuesday, July 16th, 5pm at Hayes Park (sprayground) 1516 N Lincoln St.
(Since it can be busy, be on the lookout for stickers we’ll make available to help us identify Discovery families) - Saturday, August 10th, 9am at Discovery small playground
- Wednesday, August 21st, 5pm at Lyon Park (sprayground) 1800 N Highland St. (Since it can be busy, be on the lookout for stickers we’ll make available to help us identify Discovery families)
- Sunday, August 25th, 9am at Discovery small playground
Rising First Grade Play Dates
We can't let the kindergartners have all the fun! We'd love to see our new and returning first grade families at these play dates! - Rising First Grade Play Date, Saturday, July 13th, 9:30am-11:00am, Discovery Playground (behind the school)
- Rising First Grade Play Date, Tuesday, August 20th, 5:00pm-6:30pm, Discovery Playground (behind the school)
Summer Reading Nights
Come hear stories read by Discovery teachers during Summer Reading Nights at Westover Library. The nights will be the last Wednesday of the month from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Please mark your calendars - Wednesday July 31st and Wednesday August 28th.
